Description
This class will be an open studio style, for those who have previously attended Culver City’s ceramics classes with Jeffrey Greathouse. Students will receive guidance and coaching on their individual projects. Students will be provided with the opportunity to practice and refine the techniques learned in prior classes to create and develop their own signature pieces. In addition, they will be encouraged to explore new and different decorating and glazing techniques. Hand-Builders with some experience working with slab, pinch pots, and coils are encouraged to further explore creating the unique shapes and designs that can be made without the pottery wheel. Wheel-Throwers with basic skills in creating bowls and cylinders will have the opportunity to request additional advice on throwing methods.Guidance and projects will be given upon student request while those with more autonomy and experience will have the opportunity to work on their own project in this open studio environment.
$25 Material fee is due the first day of class.
