Description
How does a telescope work? Are they expensive? What about binoculars? Are you looking to purchase a new telescope or binoculars and want to know what to look for and how to use them? We’ll cover types of telescopes and binoculars in depth. We’ll also address how to properly set up a telescope to allow you to find and track astronomical objects. Examine accessories that will enhance your viewing experience, including eyepieces, filters and observing support tools such as star atlases and software.Other related classes include: Amateur Astronomy: The Basics and Amateur Astronomy: New title Class includes a presentation, open Q & A, take-home resources and some outdoor observation. Indoor space has access to bathrooms and water. Bring appropriate layers for the outdoor portion. You are welcome to bring your own refreshments (hot tea!) and snacks as needed. Kids ages 12 and up welcome. $5 discount per additional family member.
