A furniture transformation FUNdraiser.
Our upscale, recycle event is like none other! This isn't just an event to update furniture, but rather a team competition to repurpose furniture and raise funds for the good of our community. We have teamed up with Houses into Homes to repurpose donated furniture into a self-declared decorator's dream and have a lot of fun in the process. Participate as a team to create a whole room or individual pieces.Additional information will be available on our website at www.coralville.org/upcyclethrowdown by Feb. 1, 2025. Begin to look for inspiration and start planning for your next creation for a great cause. Proceeds from the auction will support Houses into Homes Comforts of Home program and the Coralville Parks & Recreation Scholarship Fund to provide free swim lessons, youth sports opportunities and other skill building classes for youth.
Furniture selection night and upcycling weekend in the warehouse will begin Friday, April 25 and teams will have several times to work on their pieces throughout the next week. The auction event and sale of refinished pieces will take place on Saturday, May 3 at 1:00 p.m.
