Description
We’ll discuss background events regarding former Thomas Jefferson’s vice president, Aaron Burr. and his alleged conspiracies against the United States. We’ll discuss: (1) the trial at Richmond, presided over by US Supreme Court Chief Justice, John Marshall; (2) the arguments of the prosecutors as well as those of Burr’s chief legal counsel, Luther Martin of Maryland (3) the analysis of what constitutes treason under the US Constitution (4) why Burr was found “not guilty”Age Group/Camp
