Description

This class is for intermediate and advanced students only!This is an intensive introduction to lost wax casting and its applications for jewelry design. Students will learn the entire process of lost wax casting, including wax carving, model making, investing, centrifugal casting and finishing.Topics will cover the proper use of tools and equipment to carve waxes to create successful models for casting. Design elements that relate to better cast objects will be discussed.The primary focus on day one will be on how to quickly create models, use wax working tools. Students will have one week to complete models on their own.Day two will focus on preparing models for molds and investing. Day three will be concentrated on casting and finishing.
