Anatomy and Figure Drawing (Part III: Honing Drawing Skills) (Terms III, VI)

Course Description:

Note:

Part III of the Anatomy and Figure Drawing course is not a lecture course. Essentially it is a figure drawing open studio for students who took parts I and II of the Anatomy and Figure Drawing course designed to give them the opportunity to continue to hone their drawing skills. There are no structured lessons in Part III of this course. However, the instructor is available to assist you with any drawing issues you may have.

While Part III of this course is made available for students who took Parts I and II of the Anatomy and Figure Drawing courses, it is not mandatory to have taken the previous classes. Anyone can sign up for this course!

Anatomy and Figure Drawing is a course designed as a basic study of human anatomy and an introduction to figure drawing from the direct observation of the human form. In Part III of this course students will use their knowledge of human anatomy to further their drawing techniques. More focus will be given to developing proper form and proportion, line quality, and value structure by continuing to draw directly from nude and clothed models. Basic drawing skills are encouraged for this course, but not required. It is also helpful to have taken Part I and II of this course, but not a requirement.
