$20 LAB FEE DUE AT FIRST CLASSNOTE: This session will be 6 classes with no class scheduled on July 23rd and August 13th.
Class Description:
Learn the skills necessary to make a variety of decorative and functional boxes created from book board then covered with book cloth or paper. Variations will include boxes with lids, hinged lids, boxes with slide out trays and clamshell boxes. Embellish the boxes with knobs, beads, buttons, and ribbon. Experienced students can work independently on their box designs with assistance from the instructor.*Note: Box Making will be continued through Session 5 (Sept/Oct) for both beginners and for experienced students who desire to work on advanced box projects.
Objectives: Box Making:
Construct boxes for jewelry, small tools, photos, collections, and keepsakes. • Boxes are made of book board and covered with decorative paper and book cloth. • Embellish with ribbons, beads, knobs, and magnetic closures.
