Description
This “Sound of Music” drama opportunity is for adults with mild-to-moderate disabilities. Participants work together as a theatrical team as they learn and improve their singing, dancing, and acting skills. With staff support, participants work towards singing independently with accompaniment. Vocal soundtrack is used to assist with learning vocal parts (with a goal of removing the vocal guides once comfortable with the music). Also gain a basic knowledge of drama skills such as stage directions, projection, articulation, character development, and more. The session culminates with two final showcase performances.
