Description
Atrial Fibrillation is a progressive disease that impacts hundreds of thousands of Americans every year with 1 to 5 progressing to a more aggressive stage in the matter of months. Over this hour, we will discuss the signs and symptoms of Atrial Fibrillation and when to seek treatment. Dr. Wong, a respected Electrophysiologist in our North Texas community will discuss the various treatment options he uses including catheter ablation which is potentially curable for most patients.Dr. Wong specializes in the management and treatment of heart rhythm disorders. His areas of focus include ablation procedures for atrial fibrillation, left and right atrial flutters, supraventricular tachycardia, premature ventricular complexes, ventricular tachycardia, palpitations, and syncope. He has extensive training in implanting pacemakers, biventricular pacemakers, implantable cardioverter defibrillators, biventricular ICDs, implantable loop recorders and left atrial appendage occlusion devices. In addition, Dr. Wong is active in clinical research in areas of ablations and cardiac implantable electronic device management.
