This activity has been cancelled.
This very beginning watercolor painting class is for those who have never picked up a paint brush or those whose past efforts have led to disappointment. Instruction will include easy-to-follow, step-by-step demonstrations, practice, and positive affirmations. Students will learn the basics of water, paper, pigment, color, mixing, blending, highlighting, shading dimension, shortcuts, display, and perspective. The focus will be on enjoyment, developing skills, creativity, and personal confidence while completing frameable quality paintings each session. Instructor: Suzanne Wilson. CARD Community Center. Basic supplies will be available for a supply fee of $25, payable to the instructor at the first class. This includes a paint pallet, 8 quality watercolors, three brushes, a pencil, watercolor paper, a stabilizer board, color wheel sample templates, salt, and painter’s tape. The instructor, Suzanne Wilson, is a teacher and a crafter, rather than a professional artist. She is full of tips and tricks to make magic for beginners. She will be joined by Lauri Burke.
