This is the first part of a three-semester course. This class consists of electrical theory, AC/DC fundamentals, circuits, wire diagrams, blueprint reading, terminology and introduction to the National Electrical Code Book (NEC). There will be hands-on practice in using tools, electrical multimeters, pipe bending, wiring devices and running circuits. Class discussions will include resumes and job interviews. This class qualifies as 90 hours toward the Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation's 240-hour requirement for a journeyman's exam tradesman license. This class should give you enough knowledge to apply for an entry-level or helper electrician position.Use door 3 to enter the building.
