Description
Welcome to adulthood! This informational class advises individuals, families and caregivers about different legal options for adults with disabilities who need assistance - all with a goal of preserving as many rights as possible. Learn how parents and caregivers can stay involved in decision making process with schools, doctors and other professionals as you explore options such as supported decision making, power of attorney and guardianship. You will also learn about other considerations such as registering for selective service and Social Security, It's never to early to start planning.
This program is designed for parents, caregivers and adults who would like to learn about the legal options for adults with disabilities.
