Description
Description: Join Coach Kirsten Read, past winner of Peaks to Portland in a daytime masters swimming small group workout. This is open to swimmers and triathletes of all levels. Every workout, regardless of level, will be a combination of technique focus/drills, endurance, pacing, and strategy - focusing on freestyle. Some video (above or underwater) is taken every workout and emailed. Questions to kgirlread@gmail.com.
B - BEGINNER COMPETITIVE SWIMMER / SLOWER SWIMMER
You can swim freestyle at least 4 lengths with face in the water
You may need help breathing more efficiently
You may need help with technique, endurance, and interval training
You may want to swim faster
This is not an Adult Learn to Swim Program
M - MID-LEVEL SWIMMER
You are accustomed to interval training
You may want to improve technique, fitness and speed
You can swim between 1:30 and 2:00 pace.
A- ADVANCED, COMPETITIVE SWIMMER
Your pace for a 500 is approx. 1:20-1:30/100 yd.
You want yardage, interval training, speed work, technique - a mix of everything to prep you for your events
