Date: Apr 12 Instructor: Lara Donnelly In this course, students will learn how to spin their own yarn and discover the step between shearing the sheep and yarn on a shelf. Students will also learn the fundamentals of spinning using a drop spindle, top and bottom whorls, and will experiment with different fibers, wool alpaca, cotton bamboo and more. Student will have the opportunity to try out the spinning wheel and will walk away with hand made skeins. - Our classes are designed to focus on a learned skill rather than a final product. At TAC, our mission is to provide skills and knowledge for a lifetime! All materials for sample making and learning the technique are included. Any additional materials will need to be supplied by the student based on their vision. One Day Intensive does not come with free open studio time.
