About this event
Dates: May 11 Instructor: Whitney Newton Japanese sashiko embroidery both reinforces and ornaments fabric with beautifully tessellating geometric patterns, all created with a simple straight stitch. In this workshop we’ll discuss the basics of materials selection and pattern development as we revive and beautify our wardrobes. Please bring along 1-2 pieces of clothing in need of mending and we will patch them up! Clothing should be medium weight woven fabric, such as a blouse or blue jeans. -- Our classes are designed to focus on a learned skill rather than a final product. At TAC, our mission is to provide skills and knowledge for a lifetime! One Day Intensives do not come with free open studio time.
