Introduction to Brush Making With Paul Wisotzky Saturday, February 15, 2025 from 10am - 1pm In this fun three-hour workshop, you will learn how to make brushes for decorating pottery. Brushes can be used to apply slips, underglazes, glazes, oxide washes, and wax resist. We will use several types of animal hair – deer, coyote, fox, skunk – for the brush heads and bamboo for the handles. Materials will be provided to adorn the brushes and add loop handles. Instruction will also include how to make your own brush handles with clay. All materials are provided and you will leave the workshop with several brushes you made yourself to add to your decorating tool kit along with the skills to continue making your own. No experience necessary. There is a materials fee of $5 per brush payable to the instructor via Venmo, credit card or cash at the conclusion of the workshop. Registrations for this workshop are non-refundable after January 15th.
