Concept to Creation: Build Your Social Media Brand

Lil Chuck Playhouse • 74 Warrenton Street BostonMA  02116 Organized by Improv Asylum

About this event

In Concept to Creation you’ll learn the basics (and the complexities) of content creation. We’ll uncover the secrets of hooking people’s attention and getting them to stick around, whether you’re a funny person trying to have your clips go viral or a marketing/brand rep trying to use the power of social media to get your name out there. In this 6-week immersive class, you’ll dive right into the holistic process of content creation, starting with ideation and ending with clicking “post” for the world to see. We’ll break down the in-between steps of filming, editing, and fine-tuning until it's perfect to post. You’ll hone your voice, craft amazing content, carve out your "niche" and discover the best way to get the world engaging with your message, sketch, or brand. You should take this course if: You’re a funny-person looking to produce short-form sketch comedy; You're a marketing/brand rep looking to understand social media and how to cultivate a message that will resonate with an audience; You're looking to do something new, have a good time, and uncover the reasons behind why we watch what we watch. Instructor Bio: Joe Fenti is a Boston-based stand-up comedian and content creator. He performs stand-up all over the country—headlining The Comedy Bar in Chicago, The Uptown Comedy Corner in Atlanta, Mic Drop Comedy in San Diego, and opening for Alex Borstein at the Somerville Theater. Joe has amassed a following of over 580K across Instagram and Tiktok (@FentiFriedChicken) and continues to produce sketch comedy videos every week. He also has a full-time job working in Corporate Finance because he loves comedy but really really loves health insurance.
