What you’ll be doing: Calling all skiers, snowboarders, and snow lovers! On this trip, you will travel to Appalachian Ski Mountain, receive a lesson from a French Swiss Ski college instructor, and get to ski or snowboard the night away. Students are generally allowed to split into groups without required staff supervision as long as they check in at specified times and stay with MA group members. This can vary from trip to trip, so if you have any issues/questions about this, please contact leah@MountainAlliance.org and accommodations can be made. Skiing and snowboarding are inherently dangerous activities. We ask that students wear a helmet and take the lesson (unless they can prove a certain level of previous experience) in order to help reduce some of the risk associated with these activities. This is a joint trip with the Avery chapter of MA. What to bring: - Full water bottle - DINNER or money for dinner (we recommend you bring your own food - it is expensive there!) - Warm clothes - dress in layers: hat, gloves, insulated jacket, warm socks, etc (PLEASE DO NOT PLAN TO SKI IN JUST JEANS) - Any ski/ snowboard equipment that you have that you would like to bring * Let us know if you might need to borrow some things!
