Trip Description: We’ll be climbing, belaying, and swinging the afternoon away on the Alpine Tower. Don’t miss the opportunity to climb on our very own tower at Watauga. You will learn about knots, how to belay, and some basic climbing techniques. If time allows, you may also get to take a ride on the Giant Swing. This trip is open to beginners and experts, alike. Every skill level is welcome and encouraged to join. All activities will be "Challenge by Choice" which means that if at any point he or she is uncomfortable with what an activity is asking them to do, they will have the option to opt out and participate in a different way. Though climbing is an inherently risky activity, Mountain Alliance staff will take every step possible to ensure that students have a safe and enjoyable outing. What to bring: - Comfortable clothes that you can easily move around in - Close toed shoes - Snack - Water - Sunscreen - Sunglasses/hat - Headlamp MA can provide all necessary climbing gear
