***THIS COURSE IS OFFSITE***Instruction in this class includes theory and hands on service, tune up, repairs and troubleshooting of the Cummins L9 diesel engine found on many of today's fire apparatus. This class will cover the maintenance and repair practices on these engines and will be taught by a Cummins Technical Trainer Kenny Davis, at the Cummins Training Facility in Bloomington, CA. Class includes training on the fuel, diagnostics and after treatment systems. Proper engine maintenance utilizing hands on instruction with the latest PC based diagnostics tools for the L9 series is included. This course will also include discuss Cummins guidelines relative to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) emission levels and exhaust after-treatment systems.
