Description
Jewelry & Metalsmithing: Beginning - Level 1
Instructor: Janice Degen
This class is for students who have little or noexperience in jewelry making. Instruction coversthe fundamentals of basic tool usage and safetyin the studio as well as learning metal fabricationtechniques and torch soldering. Additionally,students will become engaged in the designprocess to create both decorative and functionalmetal objects. The works produced may includewearable art or small sculptures.

Metals/Jewelry Department Students
All Jewelry/Metals students pay a fee to cover supplies, and the use of tools/studio equipment during the class periods.
Wearing a mask in the BBAC metals studio is encouraged.
Materials list of items to bring:-Please bring a small notebook and pencil to class-Wear close-toed shoes and long pants-Bring your own safety goggles, or you can share the studio goggles
