Description
YMCA youth sports programs encourage youth development and promote healthy living by placing a priority on family involvement, healthy competition rather than rivalry, the value of participation over winning, team building as well as individual development, a positive self-image and a sense of fair play and mutual respect for others. YMCA coaches and athletes keep winning in perspective. Striving to win is natural, but it is not the primary objective of YMCA youth sports.As a sports assistant, you will support volunteer coaches and staff in implementing high quality sports programs at the YMCA! Please note days/times will vary.

We hold all volunteers regardless of service project, to the highest possible standards. We require volunteers that are working with youth to be screened regularly and sign a code of conduct. All volunteers will be monitored when interacting with program participants. We rake any inappropriate interactions between program participants and with volunteers very seriously and will fully cooperate with authorities in any case of abuse.
