Description
This American Red Cross course includes certifications in instructing the learn-to-swim and parent/child programs for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, youth, adults, and people with special needs, water safety presentations and basic water rescue. This course also includes Fundamentals of Instructor Training certification. At the Precourse Session students must be at least 16 years old and complete a swimming pretest which includes swimming 25 yards front crawl, back crawl, breaststroke, elementary backstroke, sidestroke, 15 yards butterfly, back float 1 minute and tread water 1 minute.

**MUST PROVIDE EMAIL ADDRESS AT REGISTRATION** Course materials are available as a free download online or for purchase at the Aquatic Center. If downloading online, please bring a laptop to class. Required: Water Safety Instructor Books, hard copy or online with computer. Must complete the American Red Cross Online Prerequisite Course and present certificate verification of completion first day of course. Must be 16 years of age and complete swimming skills pretest prior to entering course.
