About this event
This Murder to Trial program introduces students to the investigation of a possible crime, the processing of forensic evidence and using of the acquired evidence and the results of an analysis of evidence at trial. Students will have to process a mock crime scene where they will learn through experience as they collect evidence. They will complete laboratory analyses and conclude with a mock trial. Spots for this program are available on a first-come, first-served basis, and a waitlist will be created after those spots are filled. We require that all students who register for this program must fully participate for the entire length of each program day because the registration fees for this program have been generously fully funded by the SIU Simmons Law School. Please do not register your student unless you can make this commitment. Because availability is limited, if you realize later that your student is not able to attend every day of the program, please email studentenrichment@imsa.edu as soon as possible so we can offer this opportunity to another qualifying student.
