Description
Gather around for our Safe At Home: Family Fire Safety Workshop, a hands-on program designed to help families prepare for emergencies. In this interactive session, you'll work together to create and practice a personalized fire escape plan, learn the importance of smoke alarms, and get hands-on training with fire extinguishers. We'll also discuss common kitchen hazards and how to avoid them. The program wraps up with an exciting tour of Fire Station 1! Don't miss the opportunity to empower your family with essential fire safety skills! Each family member attending should be registered. This program is best suited for children ages 3 and older. This program is instructed by our Town of Apex Community Risk Reduction Coordinator and Town of Apex Firefighters.
Families will meet at Fire Station 3 (736 Hunter St). Parking is located beside the Fire Station, as well as in the grass field behind the building.
