About this event
Join the international Urban Sketching movement in picturesque Ann Arbor. Capture outdoor/indoor subjects and gain confidence in your sketching as we learn about mediums, technique, and art theory. Apply the Elements and Principles of Art for visually recording what you see with your eyes and mind's eye through weekly challenges. Class meets at the Art Center for 30-minute mini lessons on composition, perspective, values, color, trees, figures and more and students will then spend the remainder of class exploring Ann Arbor urban spaces through on-site sketching! We will close each session with a voluntary “throw-down”. This class is a great fit for those with beginner or intermediate level skills, as well as continuing students! *In the event of inclement weather, we will select an indoor location to sketch within. There will be no class on July 6th or July 20th. All participants must be 18 or older. View Supply List Students will need to purchase materials for this class. View Supply List
