Description
Pastels are a unique, colorful, and portable art form embraced by artists for centuries. Learn the history, use, and masters; their techniques, styles & application of a medium adorned by scholars & museums worldwide. Beginners will learn from A-Z the products, uses & techniques; Advanced students will be challenged by new methods of expanding their skills, understanding composition, drawing & advanced techniques. Instructor's demos.Students will bring their own supplies: • Foam core board, • Pastels: 30+ Rembrandts; 30+ NuPastels, • Masking tape, • tracing paper pad, • Canson MiTienes Pad various colors, • UART 400 or 500 papers; other sanded surfaces preferred, • vine charcoal, eraser, • color wheel, value finder, • Advanced students can bring their current supplies, • Easels and tables provided, • photo references to paint with strong values; painting will be from photo & still life setups.
