--Instructor: Kevin Sockwell-- In every show the actor portrays a character. At times the character is like you, sometimes foreign, most times a mix. What is the process of developing a character so you’re not acting but being the character? Most theatre is about scene work. Working with a partner, being in a scene with several people, movement, entering and exiting. How do you translate key elements of being a character into working with others. In this class you’ll explore deeply into character building and working as a scene partner. Previous acting class experience or having been cast in a show is strongly preferred. If you have a character you’ve always wanted to play, bring that idea to the class. No class on NOV. 27.
