Rossingnol Vercors

Rossingnol Vercors

The Rossignol Vercors is the brand's first long-distance trail running shoe and the flagship of its Spring Summer 2026 collection. Built for endurance runners who want cushion, performance, and long-lasting comfort, it pairs a lightweight design with an E+FOAM midsole that delivers protective, reactive cushioning underfoot. The abrasion-resistant DuraGrip outsole holds its ground on demanding terrain, while the breathable Dragonfly Light upper keeps your feet cool as the miles add up. Together, these elements help you move with confidence on long trails without feeling weighed down.

At the heart of the Vercors is the Diapazon Shield X-LT comfort plate, working alongside the E+FOAM midsole to support every stride and keep each step feeling as good as the first. Whether you're chasing a personal distance goal or settling into a steady rhythm on the trail, the Vercors is engineered to carry you mile after mile. For endurance runners ready to go the distance, this is Rossignol's invitation to keep moving forward.

Sometimes all you need is for it to feel right.

First Impressions:

The Rossignol Vercors makes a strong first impression by doing a lot of things well without drawing attention to any one feature. The fit feels good right out of the box, and while the lacing system offers multiple adjustment options, the default setup worked well enough that no changes felt necessary. The laces themselves hold exceptionally well once tied, though they can be a little stubborn to loosen afterward. Still, that secure fit translates into a confident feel on the trail with no noticeable slipping or movement.

Things We Liked:

Overall feel is great and doesn't lack or need anything specific.

Areas for Improvement:

Cushion ripped on the trails, mabye that could be more durable.

Final Thoughts

The Rossignol Vercors is a well-balanced trail shoe that feels comfortable and secure right out of the box. The lacing system offers multiple adjustment options, though the default setup worked well enough that no changes were necessary. The laces hold exceptionally well during runs, even if they can be a little stubborn to loosen afterward. The colorway is clean and modern, and the overall fit feels secure without being restrictive. While the toe box is not especially wide, it provides enough room to remain comfortable on longer runs.

On the trail, the Vercors delivers a smooth and predictable ride. There is a slight rocker that helps move the stride forward without feeling aggressive or unstable, and the platform remains balanced from side to side. The cushioning strikes a nice middle ground between soft and firm, providing protection without feeling overly plush or disconnected from the trail. Traction is a standout feature, with the lugs providing excellent grip across a variety of terrain and conditions. Overall, the Vercors is a dependable trail shoe that combines comfort, stability, and excellent grip into a package that feels natural and easy to trust on the trail.
