They truly have something for everyone:
Saturday October 26th kicks off with the Bosque Boneshaker Gravel Grinder with 17, 34 and 50 mile options. What is a Bosque? It is the forested area along the Rio Grande. The 17 and 34 mile routes will take place solely in the Bosque. The 50 mile route will go through the Bosque and then head up into the foothills of the Sandia Mountains, which are part of the Rocky Mountains.
Sunday October 27th features the road cycling events, a 4k walk around Old Town Albuquerque and the Treadfest after party. The road cycling includes 7, 12, 18, 23, 47, 55 and 100 mile routes. All ages are welcome, and the 12-mile ride is designated the family ride (families can ride all distances). On that ride, families will ride north along the Bosque and take the Railrunner (the local train) back to the starting area. One of the highlights of the day is the Recharge Zone at El Pinto Restaurant, which provides us 5,000 sopapillas with honey and has a marimba band to welcome participants.
