What puts the “flex” in a Flex League is the fact that opponent(s) work together to determine when the most convenient date/time is to play the match. Flex leagues are great for people who want the “flexibility” to schedule their league play around their day-to-day schedule. The league is $10 per team of 2 players. Flex league season consists of 8 matches and an additional playoff match that occurs at the end of the regular season. At the beginning of each season, you/your team will receive a schedule with each match opponent clearly identified. For each match, you work with your opponent(s) to coordinate the best date/time to play the match. Pickleball Flex league allows 7 days for each scheduled regular season match to be played. This provides greater flexibility to coordinate playing times for all matches. Each week of the season, a new match timeframe will begin. Match timeframes may overlap throughout the season. For example: Match #1 Begins on Wednesday, July 27 and the match needs to be completed by the end of Tuesday, August 2 (7-day time frame). Match #2 Begins on Wednesday, August 3 and the match needs to be completed by the end of Tuesday, August 9 (7-day timeframe). Pickleball Flex League utilize a 3-game match format with games played to 15 – win by 2. In each match, all 3 games are played. A point is awarded to each team for each game won for a max of 3 points for the match. Once the match is over, scores are reported through by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. A Google Doc will be used to track your team’s progress and standings across the league. Each regular season is capped with a 1-week playoff. During this playoff week, the #1 and #2 teams from the league standings will square off to determine the final league champion. Teams #3 and #4 will square off for 3 & 4 place and teams #5 and #6 will do the same to determine 5 and 6 place in the league and so on depending on number of teams.
