Description
Please note: the fee to enter the 2023-24 Piano Festival is $32 per piece. Participants can choose to enter 1, 2 or 3 pieces, and also have the option to participate in sight-reading and/or quick study classes which grants eligibility for scholarship.
Please note: only those who enter with 2 or 3 pieces, and also participate in the sight-reading class, quick-study class or both, will be considered for a scholarship.
HOW THE FESTIVAL CLASSES WORK:When you click "enroll now", you are given the choice to enter 1, 2 or 3 pieces. You enter information about them, including the RCM grade level of each piece. Then you "add" your fee (1, 2 or 3x $32) and complete registration. You are also given the option to enter the sight-reading and/or quick study classes.
Once all entries are received, participants who are 18yrs or under will be grouped into classes by RCM grade level, then repertoire style. So for example there might be a class of people playing RCM Grade 6 Baroque pieces, or an ARCT-level Concerto class.
Participants age 19yrs and over will be grouped into separate “adult” classes, which will be divided by level. So for example there might be a beginner-intermediate adult class, and an advanced adult class.
You will be contacted with the details of your classes and schedule after the registration deadline.
