Course Description: Junior Medical School features "Blood and Guts Academy", an unforgettable experience! Does your child want to be a doctor, nurse, respiratory therapist, pathologist, paramedic, firefighter, personal trainer, veterinarian, science teacher etc? Junior Medical School is the perfect course for them! I will be helping your student explore the human body and bring related medical sciences to life with fun, hands-on activities, including dissections animal organs including a sheep's heart, cow's eye and trachea, and frogs. Please note that although this class is super-awesome, it may not be for everyone. We do acquire all animal organs humanely and safely. Instructor: Dana Bossow Instructor Bio: My name is Dana. I am a registered nurse with a background in military medicine in the United States Air Force. I have a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from Mesa State College in Grand Junction, Colorado. I served as an RN in the Air Force from 2011-2015 and was stationed at Travis AFB in California. I have held certifications including EMT-Basic, Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, CBRNE and more! I love medical sciences and emergency medicine! I am married with 2 kids and a giant mastiff puppy. I am very excited to share my passion for health sciences with your child at Rams’ Academy!
