Course Description: Development of drawing skills as they apply to sequential art. Emphasis on storytelling, cinematic technique, page layout, and composition. Students will learn the penciling process of comic book art from initial sketch to finished comic book page. Instructor Name: Bill Wylie Instructor Bio: Bill Wylie is a professional comic book artist with a background in Marvel Comics. At Marvel, he drew titles such as Web of Spider-Man, Secret Defenders, and Ghost Rider. Since Marvel, Bill has worked on graphic novels for Harcourt Publishing, as well as storyboards for major ad agencies in NYC. He developed and taught the comic book art program at Glendale Community College in AZ, as well as private/semi private art classes for younger students. He recently moved to Reno with his wife and daughter, and has previously taught comic book art for the EPIC program at TMCC. Bill looks forward to teaching young students for the RAMS program at Pinecrest Academy, and developing the artists of the future. Bill has recently joined the staff at PANN as a Specials Teacher.
