This class is designed to prepare rising 10th graders for the rigors of sophomore Collegio. Over the course of two weeks, students will refresh and develop their critical reading and writing skills in a way that focuses on the specific needs of each individual student. Together, we will complete one of their two summer reading books*, using this text as a platform for in-depth analysis in both a literary and historical context. Through this two-week course, students will practice skills that will help them for model UN as well as practicing the writing process to prepare them for a literary analysis paper that begins the year in sophomore Collegio. The book will be determined by the teacher and provided to each student on the first day of class and fulfill one of their two summer reading book requirements.
