“Who Was Mac Schweitzer?” Ann will bring to life the artist Mac Schweitzer whose work will be on display in the museum from October 18, 2025 through September 28, 2026. Mary Alice Cox “Mac” Schweitzer was an American artist whose distinct abstract desert style contributed to the development of the “modern” period of art in Tucson, and the American Southwest. She received critical acclaim during her short life and after her death. A docent led tour of Mac’s work hanging in the museum will follow the presentation.
