Description
Students learn fundamental graffiti techniques and the history of this art form. We'll work with markers, colored pencils, acrylic paints, stencils and other materials. Collages are created in sketchbooks and canvases while exploring simple forms and letters. The camp culminates with learning to work with aerosol /spray paint and traditional graffiti motifs with mural applications on wooden panels. All materials are provided. No previous experience is necessary. Please dress for the mess.
Chicago artist Hiram Villa, aka TEEL, has spent his life painting on anything and everything he could get his hands on. His works span a wide range of mediums: multimedia, murals, canvases, sculpture, comics and design. TEEL is the owner of 'Momentum Art Tech', an independent spray-paint specialty art store. TEEL opened an Art Gallery called CMYK GALLERY in Bridgeport.
