Activity Organizer: Ping Chen Email: chenping.ay@gmail.com Dates: 2nd and 4th Monday of each month Time: 4:00 PM–5:00 PM Grades: 6–12 Cost: $32 Description: Girls Who Code is a national organization that focuses on teaching young girls the basics of coding and encouraging girls to pursue computer science and change the world. In the club, students will learn how to build their own website and fun Buzzfeed quizzes from scratch using HTML/JavaScript/CSS. In addition, students will be taught basic programming concepts, algorithms, data structures, and debugging methods with various fun projects using Java, Eclipse and Git. Students will also learn a bit about USACO (USA Computing Olympiad) questions and problem solving for students who might be interested in the competition. Other topics will include blockchain technology, crypto-currency, and more.
