The Senior Citizen Advisory Board and the City of San Marcos Parks and Recreation Department would like to invite you to participate in our 10th Senior Citizen Expo by becoming a vendor, or a vendor and sponsor, if you have goods or services of interest to senior citizens.
For a contribution of a total of $250, your business will be declared a “Gold Sponsor”. Gold Sponsors will receive mention as an event sponsor on our printed marketing materials as well as social media promotions on the Parks and Recreation Department’s Facebook page. In addition, Gold Sponsors will receive name recognition on a professionally printed sign at the entrance of the event and a free half page ad (4”x 4”) in our vendor booklet. Your business will be mentioned in a Gold Sponsor appreciation ad in our senior newsletter. Your business will also be listed as a Gold Sponsor on our Senior Expo webpage on the City’s website. This listing will remain on the Expo page until the next Senior Expo in 2024. A vendor table is included with this sponsorship.
For a contribution of a total of $200, your business will be declared a “Silver Sponsor”. Silver Sponsors will receive mention as an event sponsor on the Parks and Recreation Department’s Facebook page. In addition, Silver Sponsors will receive name recognition on a professionally printed sign at the entrance of the event and a free business card sized ad (2”x 3.5”) in our vendor booklet. Your business will also be listed as a Silver Sponsor on our Senior Expo webpage on the City’s website. This listing will remain on the Expo page until the next Senior Expo in 2024. A vendor table is included with this sponsorship.
You can be a Vendor at the event for a $100 fee. All vendors will receive a free name listing, including their address and phone number in the vendor booklet.
Each vendor attending the Expo will have one table, sized 30”x72” and 2 chairs. The vendor area will need to be set up by 9:30 AM the day of the event. Vendors may start setting up at 8:00 AM. Breakfast items will be available for vendors that morning. Any food items given away at a vendor table must be individually wrapped and made at a licensed, commercial kitchen, no home baked goods.
We have made a few changes to our vendor registration process for the 2022 Senior Expo. Vendors will now be able to register for the Expo completely online, using a credit card for payment. You can do so by clicking on the enroll now button. You will automatically be charged the vendor rate of $100.00. You will have the option of adding a Gold Sponsorship for an additional $150.00 or a Silver Sponsorship for an additional $100.00.
The person making the payment will need to create an ActiveNet account if they do not already have one. They will need to enter their phone number and email when registering. They will also need to enter the following information when registering: Name of business or organization that will be the actual vendor at the Expo, name of the main vendor contact, contact’s phone number and contact’s email address. Please have this information ready when registering. Once we have received payment, the main vendor contact will be sent a link to fill out a form on the City’s website. This document will contain the information that the vendor would like to appear in the vendor booklet, such as business/organization name, address, phone, and category listing. Registration will not be complete until this document has been filled out and submitted. All vendor applications will be reviewed by the Senior Advisory Board and San Marcos Parks and Recreation staff for acceptance.
The vendor booklet will be included in the goody bags handed out to each participant upon entrance to the Expo. A PDF version will be available on our Senior Expo webpage on the City’s website. We expect a large demand for a limited number of vendor tables. Sponsorship and basic vendor registration is now open and will be taken on a first come, first served basis, so register early. A light lunch will be served at the Expo for the public. It will be a “come as you please” buffet, starting at Noon for attendees . Vendors will have a separate lunch area and assigned times. Vendors are welcome to offer their own door prize drawings, or they can donate items to be part of our larger drawing that will take place at approximately 1:30 PM on the day of the event. Winners will not be required to be present to win.
