Conversing in Spanish

When: Tuesdays and Thursdays: September 19, 21, 26, 28 October 3, 5, 10 and 12.

Course Description: This course is for students with an introductory knowledge of
Spanish, who are aiming at becoming more conversational. The course will include reviews of fundamentals and should be helpful for a broad range of students, from those who “know a little Spanish” to moderately fluent Spanish speakers who are seeking to being more comfortable using the Spanish they know.
If you have a moderate Spanish vocabulary, understand basic Spanish in the present tense, or if you consider yourself to be at the intermediate level of conversational Spanish, this course should provide you with tools, tips, and information that will move you forward in the journey of becoming an advanced conversationalist. The course is designed for all levels of learning except for advanced Spanish speakers.
The course will focus on compound verb tenses, the simple past, and will venture into the future and conditional tenses. Students can expect an atmosphere of relaxed learning with
structured and supportive lessons.

Seth began teaching Spanish after earning his Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish and Art in 1979. For over 40 years, he has taught Spanish, not as a career, but because of his love for the language. As someone who learned Spanish as an adult, he understands the unique challenges of language acquisition for adult learners.
San Marcos Parks and Recreation, in coordination with the Life Long Learning Association of San Marcos is offering new Life Long Learning courses for the greater San Marcos area.
