Activity Organizer: Lin Xu Email: xulin78@gmail.com Dates: 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month Time: 4:00 PM–5:00 PM Location: Room 302 Grades: 7–12 Cost: $50 Description: This club aims to provide basic knowledge of astrophysics and introduce students to computational methods used to analyze and visualize astronomical data. We also hope to incite more interest in astrophysics; strengthen skills in math, physics, and computer science; and encourage students to be critical thinkers. We will also invite guest speakers to come to club meetings throughout the year. We will cover the following topics: celestial mechanics, stellar objects, simulation/visualization, cosmology, advanced physics, and space exploration.
