Are you new to gardening? Have you been gardening for only a few years and wondered if there are more science-based practices that would be better FOR your garden and the environment? Would you like to learn more of the basics of these science-based practices taught by University of California trained Master Gardeners in Santa Clara County? In this 4-Session class, you'll learn about: Basic plant needs and why learning them is crucial; How to get your garden growing; How to choose the best plants for your garden and keep them safe; How to get your garden into shape so your plants will do well. There will be hands-on experiences throughout the classes which will take what you are learning and put IT into practice. Class #4 will take place on Saturday February 25 at the Martial Cottle Park Master Gardener Demonstration Garden in San Jose. The demonstration garden showcases the best practices for home gardeners, and you'll see science-based garden theory in action in a diverse garden. You will receive some tomato seedlings to REPOT for later planting in your own garden in the spring.
