We're sorry, but this activity is over. The last meeting was Wednesday, August 25, 2021.
A training module for family caregivers to learn how to cultivate and use their voices as a powerful tool when caregiving for a family member with memory loss and while practicing self-care.
Your voice can help to deepen trust, familiarity, and connection in order to decrease isolation, agitation and aggression during cares; as well as increase self-care when caregiving and during times of not care-giving. (Some discussion on the use of Spotify to build music playlists may also be included.)
Portland Parks & Recreation relies on customer activity fees to make public programs possible. If you have the financial means, please consider making a donation donate to PP&R’s “Community Access Fund” at check-out (see the “Donation” drop-down list.). This fund helps us serve those in need. Thank you for your support.
