This Adult Intermediate Tennis Class (USTA/NTRP 2.5-3.0) is designed for adults 18 & up who are comfortable rallying, hitting on the run, serving, volleying, hitting overheads and playing a match. Intermediate players will be introduced to a variety of spins, more advanced ball shaping for consistency, shot selection/point construction (singles & doubles), fun placement and transition drills, return of serve development and instruction for how to create an effective 2nd serve.
Players from this class that are rated 2.5 or equivalent, can play FREE of Charge in our Sunday 2.0-2.5 Mixer that generally runs from 4:45-6:45pm.
However, 3.0 rated players or equivalent level, are not allowed to participate in the Sunday 2.0-2.5 Mixer free of charge.
Mixers can require an NTRP or PTC Rating in order to register, so either provide your NTRP Rating by emailing PTC Coordinator Bret Bowers at bret.bowers@portlandoregon.gov or if you DO NOT have an NTRP Rating, please register online on Portland Tennis Bookings for one of our PTC Rating Sessions.

Classes will be held indoors, masks are optional, not required.
No food, liquid (other than water) or chewing gum on tennis courts. Please wear court shoes & bring a water bottle. Racquets are provided if you not have one.
If needed, we offer free PTC Rating Sessions if you are new to PTC or do NOT have a current USTA Rating. If you DO have a current USTA Rating, but it has NOT been placed in your Portland Tennis Bookings account, please email Tennis Coordinator Bret Bowers at bret.bowers@portlandoregon.gov
