Description
Be a lifeguard! Develop state-of-the-art rescue skills designed to keep people safe in our pools. Increase and/or improve water skills and receive First-Aid/ CPR training. Lifeguard candidates who successfully complete all requirements will be considered for future employment. Safety is our priority! This course is for lifeguard candidates 16 years and up, without current StarGuard lifeguard certification. No exception to age restriction can be made. Students successfully completing the course will receive first aid, CPR, and StarGuard Lifeguard Certification. This course is a hybrid course that will include online coursework (required for entry into class), and in-person dryland and water skills. The skills will include but are not limited to First Aid / CPR, and in-water individual and group skills. There will be a written test, as well as any updates from our lifeguard licensing company StarGuard Elite. **Important information about the class: Please bring your lifeguard book (online access only), your pocket mask, a hip pack, a swimsuit, and a pen or pencil. We will be providing you with a pocket mask and hip pack on the first day of class. If you are not feeling well, we ask you to stay home.
