Description

Discover your hidden talents through the basics using charcoal amp; pencils. Find out how fun & easy it is as it builds the self-confidence of beginning students! Simple-to-understand instruction taught in a relaxed atmosphere.
Materials will not be supplied for this class. Participants will need to supply their own materials listed below. *Drawing Paper/Pad - whatever size you are comfortable with. *Pencils, best choices: soft 2B - 5B and hard 2H - 5H *Vinyl Eraser *Pencil Sharpener Toolbox- anything to hold/carry materials and supplies in
Optional/Additional Materials - not required but may enhance your drawing experience: *Drawing board and Tape *Charcoal - Pencils, Compressed(medium & hard) and Vine(soft) - comes in both stick and pencil form. Sticks of charcoal are usually either vine or compressed. Vine charcoal is softer and produces lighter marks, while compressed charcoal which is concentrated, produces darker marks. *Conté crayons black (and colors) - Similar to charcoal in richness of color, however the makeup of the material is different. Charcoal is burnt organic material, while conté is made of clay constituents. *Pens/Markers *Pastels *Fixative spray- keeps drawing from smearing/smudging, a protective coating, we will use this outdoors only.
