About this event
Every year in January, librarians nationwide award the Caldecott Medal to "the most distinguished American picture book for children." Now it's your turn to be the judge! We will learn about the history of this award, read past winners like Where the Wild Things Are, learn the secrets to amazing visual storytelling -- and choose the best of the best from 2022's brand-new books. The top eight books selected by our after-school "committee" will go on to contend for 2nd grade's first-ever Mock Caldecott project in November... Don't miss the chance to be a picture book influencer! This class will be taught by Kate Bowman-Johnson, a Librarian at GFS. Please note: This Class Will Not Meet on 9/26
