This program is the precursor to anyone joining a beginner triathlon team who has little to no swimming background. It can also be for those beginner triathletes who are stronger in cycling and running but need assistance with the swimming component. Participants learn the necessary skills and techniques to successfully participate in the water as a triathlete.
Level of Instruction: Beginner, but all participants must be comfortable in deep water.
Skills/Fundamentals Learned: Swimmers will improve their endurance, strength and breathing techniques as they train on various swimming strokes throughout the season.

Instructor: Swimmers are coached by staff members from the Parker Parks and Recreation Aquatics staff who are USMS level 2, USAT level 1, CPR/AED and First Aid certified.
Equipment: All equipment will be supplied. Please wear a swimsuit, bring goggles and a towel. Caps are optional.
Cancellation, refund and transfer requests must be made three business days prior to the scheduled start of the activity. There is a $5 processing fee for each change to the initial registration.
