Tai Chi for Beginners is the ideal class for students that have had some exposure of Tai Chi or martial arts and wish to learn a new form or learn how to improve the energetic flow of movement. The objective of Tai Chi is to achieve physical balance by strengthening muscles and improving coordination, while at the same time improving mental balance. This is why Tai Chi is effective for fall prevention, movement control, weight transference, and the integration of mind and body. This class introduces the participant to Tai Chi, the basic movements , the energy flow and breath, as well as working with concentration, and coordination, sitting and standing.
