What does it take to RUN FAST? For any athlete, technique and repetition are an essential aspect of high performance. Getting FASTER is useful in any sport, but many athletes do not learn "how to" train with explosive mechanics. Join CC Track and Sprint Coach Tiberia Patterson for an individual training experience. No Track experience is needed and this camp is open to all athletes. "Participating athletes will be educated in: ◦ Flexibility exercises that enhance performance and help prevent injuries. ◦ Core exercises that develop strength and enhances speed performance. ◦ Speed and technique exercises which will improve the performance of athletes overall. ◦ Light ploy metrics and agility drills to increase explosiveness. Each participant should bring: Water, Track spike shoes, sunscreen, towel, and athletic bag for personal items. ◦ Sportsmanship to build character and team rapport. ◦ Healthy eating tips which will help in every aspect of life. The Catholic Central speed camp will cover all the basics of speed from drive phase to maximum velocity as well as maintaining athletes top end speed longer. The campers will be encouraged to reach for the stars and to have good sportsmanship which will enhance their overall experience and develop healthy behaviors."
